Happy New Year!
I hope you’re off to a great start. I’m taking it slowly. The space between Thanksgiving and Christmas felt so short, I’m giving myself some room to recover! I’m starting the year with the idea of a slow transition. I’m bit by bit picking up my routine and rituals that fell to the wayside when life got so busy. If there’s anything I love more than shaking things up a bit, it’s settling back down to a normal schedule.
This doesn’t mean it’s all going back to the way it was in 2024! There’s a lot in store this year, and I’m excited to say that it’s already started.
You can now listen and subscribe to the next evolution in my podcasting, which is finally out now! It’s called Chakra Savvy™ with Jessica Goulding, and it feels like finally landing at home.
As I’ve pondered the direction I want to take my teaching, I realize that what lights me up the most is Chakra Savvy, and what that can entail. It’s not just a course I created in 2020, it’s a way of living in the world. It means staying in touch with your energy, your feelings, your intention, your desires and highest self. It’s staying “savvy” about what’s going on with you so you can show up in the world from a place of clarity, wisdom, and truth, better able to serve others and love the Divine.
And as you’ll discover in my first episode, it starts with noticing your energy.
So what does that mean? I think there’s a LOT tied into feeling your energy. There’s so many ways to describe it and tune into it. And I think each of us experiences this differently. You might call it your vibration, and feel whether it’s humming along or feeling sludgy. You might notice it changes throughout the day, the week, or the month. You might just notice if you’re tired or well rested, and that’s a great place to start. But there’s so much more…
On this week’s podcast episode, Welcome to Chakra Savvy!, I take you through the steps to just notice your energy. This is the first step to making any change you want in your life. First, notice by becoming aware. In my experience, we don’t just feel tired or rested, it’s connected to our thoughts, mood, attitude, and body. I encourage you to listen to the podcast so you can
~ Hear the origin story of Chakra Savvy.
~ Go through the step-by-step process of noticing your energy as I talk you through.
As I promise in the podcast, here’s a written version of the experience:

Tune Into Your Energy: A Simple Daily Practice
If possible, close your eyes or lower your gaze to help turn your attention inward.
Gently bring your awareness to the following aspects of your experience. There’s no need to change anything—just notice.
~ Are your thoughts scattered, or do they come one at a time?
~ Are you focused, or is your mind wandering?
~Are you making mental lists, worrying, or replaying past events?
3. Your Attitude
~ Does life feel full of possibilities, or does it feel overwhelming?
~ Do you feel motivated or disengaged?
~ Are you approaching life with a sense of curiosity or resistance?
4. Your Body
~ Where do you feel tension? Check your neck, shoulders, back, abdomen, hips, legs, and feet.
~ Notice if your jaw is tight or your eyebrows are furrowed.
~ Are your limbs heavy or light? Do you feel hungry or tired?
~ Observe your posture: Are you slouching, fidgeting, or sitting upright?
Take Notes
After completing the scan, jot down your observations. Keep it simple and judgment-free. For example, “Feeling tense in my shoulders,” or “Thoughts are racing.” The goal is to gather information and build awareness.
See if you can commit to practicing this energy scan daily, even if just for a few minutes. Over time, you’ll start to notice patterns and gain valuable insights into your energy and how it shifts. This self-study, svadyaya, is the first step toward meaningful transformation. Next week we’ll explore practical steps to shift your energy and start to create some alignment in your life.
May you pay attention, may you notice, all the ways your system is giving you information about your energy. And may you use this information to know yourself better, today and everyday.
Much love
