Happy Thanksgiving week! My favorite holiday of the year is finally here. In Online Yoga Membership (OYM) we have been practicing gratitude all month in a way I wanted to share with you today.
What does gratitude look like through the lens of the chakras? Maybe you can take a moment and consider these for yourself, or share them with someone you celebrate with.
Looking over the last year, what are you thankful for in regards to:
โค๏ธ Abundance. How have you been blessed in your material world?
๐งก Release. What is something you let go of this year that has been a relief to you?
๐ Power. Is there a power or strength within you that you woke up to this year?
๐ Relationships. Who has come into your life that you are so happy to have?
๐ Voice. What meaningful conversations did you have this year that you hope to remember for years to come?
๐ Connection: What is a connection you made this year, with someone else or within yourself, that fills your heart with gratitude?
Perhaps not all of these will apply, but hopefully enough of them for you to recognize that 2022 had a lot to be thankful for. The more we can focus on these parts of our lives, the happier we will be. And it's certainly a practice!
Know that when I'm thinking of my own list of gratitudes for the year, you and the rest of this community are certainly on it. It brings me great joy, through all the seasons, to share with you my little missives and hear that they help, to teach yoga and philosophy and know you feel better because of it, and to dream up new ways for us to practice and grow together, on and off the mat.
May you and yours enjoy the Happiest of Thanksgivings.
Much love,
Jess
